I was born in Kerala and raised in Mumbai, and in many ways my writing lives between those two worlds. Kerala gave me its rootedness, its quiet observation of people and place. Mumbai gave me movement, ambition, and the restless energy of modern India. Together, they shaped the way I see stories.
For over four decades, I worked in the corporate world, travelling across the length and breadth of the country. In boardrooms, small towns, railway compartments, and crowded city streets, I encountered lives unfolding in ways both ordinary and extraordinary. Those experiences stayed with me. Eventually, they found their way into my fiction.
My stories are grounded in everyday India. I am drawn to the intersections of power and morality, tradition and change, ambition and conscience.
Whether set against the backdrop of corporate corridors or intimate domestic spaces, my characters wrestle with choices that feel real because they are.
I believe storytelling should do two things: hold the reader and reveal something true. If a story entertains while quietly illuminating the many layers of contemporary Indian life, it has done its work.
I now live in Cochin, where the sea, the monsoon light, and the slow rhythms of Kerala offer both stillness and inspiration. I continue to observe, to listen, and to write.
